Free MDM will never scale
Your “free” MDM probably doesn’t even let you meaningful update your devices, at least not with any kind of sophistication. One of the key challenges to managing modern Android devices is consistent and reliable application deployment and configuration management.
Without the proper tools, deploying the correct APK (application) file to your devices in the field can quickly become a major organizational challenge. When your device app could be updated weekly or even daily (something your development team should aspire to!), you need to be absolutely certain that those apps are arriving and installing on the devices your MDM says they are.
